Editor’s Note: May brings the end of the support we have received over the last year from Ashoka’s initiative, Avancemos, and Hillel Argentina. That is why this editorial will be written by the editing team of the On Your Own section, sponsored until the end of this month by said institutions. As of June, the section will go through some changes, though it will maintain the spirit of the great job done during the last year by the current staff. Magalí and Ale, thank you very much for your work.
For you, this is simply the 38th issue of Opinión Sur Joven. For us, it’s the end of an era. Over the last year, thanks to the recognition we received from Ashoka’s program, Avancemos, and Hillel Argentina, we have worked with a lot of effort as a team to turn the On Your Own section into a space for reflection and debate, both privately and publicly, between us and together with the readers, on line and face to face. And like any other end, it represents a turning point; it implies knowing we won’t have certain things anymore, and that others will come to fill that empty space.
We want to thank Ashoka and Hillel for their support, Sur Norte and Opinión Sur for the space, our mates for their patience and all those who collaborated with their time and their knowledge to bring quality to the articles.
We hope we have done something good, or at least that our work has been useful to generate questions and find answers, or that maybe you found us useful to share your doubts and your search. That is pretty much what we have been doing all this time.
Thank you, and see you soon.
Magalí Sztejn and Alejandro Urman.
